Understated! Power!

Still Waiting. The title gives no hint of the song's contents. Could just be another sad love song. Another of life's lonely losers, sitting back, whining, waiting for love to find him. The cool jazz hip hop style of the melody does nothing to disabuse you of your wretched mistake. It washes over you like a soft ocean breeze, relaxes and lulls until... an angry voice shakes you from your stupor, forcing you to sit up and listen. And then the cold reality smacks you in the face -- this is no love song! This is the hell that is Haiti!
Still Waiting. No one to turn to. Still waiting. The song recounts Haiti's horrific earthquake and dares to ask: What's it like to wait, buried in rubble, no one to turn to? What's it like to stand outside a demolished building waiting to see if your father/mother/brother/sister/husband/wife/baby will get pulled out alive or at all?
The Haitian people are Still Waiting. Living in tents. Waiting now for hurricanes to come. They're Still Waiting for our help!
Still Waiting. It'd be a great song even if the proceeds weren't going to the Haitian Relief Effort! So stop waiting! Buy the damn song! Enjoy it because it's a great track with mind blowingly talented artists. And help Haiti now! Don't you be the reason they're Still Waiting!
