Another of the 10 albums I would bring to a desert island. Someone else said of Laurie Anderson that even when she is being sardonic and jaded, she is still heartbreaking, and yes, this album is so heartbreaking...

It's unique, musical, funny, amazing...great stuff. A little-known classic.

This is the best Laurie Anderson album I know of. The songs are very musical, musicianship is great. Songs are varied. Some pop sensibilities, yet unusual enough to be avant-rock. Excellent Birds with Peter Gabriel is a classic, but the whole album works from start to finish.
