Louis Cole is making excellent music. He has a *great* ear for textures and sound design. His compositions are great. He's nasty on the drums. His music honest, adventurous, and inspired. Can't wait for the next release.

This debut effort is thoughtful and unique. Magnificent and unusual arrangements from an exceptionally talented young man. Rock on Louie!

Louis Cole hears music like no one else. His otherworldly drumming and heart-wrenching harmonic sensibility seem to come from out of nowhere and hit you square in the forehead. This is some of the most powerful, creative and honest music I have heard; a true testament to the power of vision, talent, and hard work over expensive studio time and top-of-the-line recording gear. Harmony, melody, words, rhythm, production, and performance - on this record, each one complements the others in near-perfect balance. You've got to hear it to believe it.

This is one of the coolest albums I've heard all year. Such an amazing display of musicianship and lyrical skill. To me, it combines the best elements of Yo La Tengo with Radiohead, with a strikingly earthy feel.

If you like eclectic music, this album is for you. It's a glimpse into where music can go. It reminds me of a young Beck. Genius stuff.
