Mood music

First off, iTunes labeling this music as "pop" is misleading. Each song in this album is an instrumental, with bare-bones instrumentation making up each song. The production of the music is minimalist; the piano compositions are not complex. It sounds as if you're in the room of the piano player, and the sounds of the pedaling are explicit in each song. The sound of the piano is subdued and yet it feels natural.
This an album that needs to be listened in complete silence, and personally, I find this excellent meditative music. Each song has a certain pattern that is repeated this pattern is utilized to create a mood. Each song demands your attention to discover the subtle nuances throughout the song.
This is an easy album to listen to once, and then overlook it completely. However, new details reveal themselves throughout each listen, and repeated listens are appropriately rewarded.
