The Summer of 1973 was the summer in between my Jr. & Sr. years in high school. When we heard America was coming to Merriweather Post Pavilion and it was affordable we immediately purchased tickets. Not only did we like America we loved this album and played it all summer long. By the time Augusta 11, 1973 came around we were like little kids the night before Christmas. Wondering if they’d be as good as the album. They did not disappoint. A great band, great music, great date. Thank you America.

The band went through a number of ages and eras, but Homecoming has a high floor and a high ceiling. Come for the songs you know, but stay for Saturn Nights, Till the Sun Comes Up Again, Cornwall Blank, and others. After they put this out, America earned the attention of producer George Martin, if that helps understand the statement it made in the post-Beatles music scene.

Every song on here is good to me, truly. While the singles on this are good, songs like Cornwall Blank and To Each His Own are just so good and I almost want to say ethereal. I'm a young man growing up from their Greatest Hits Album and expanding into their music, and this album does nothing to dissapoint.

This album brings back alot of memories. When it came out it was played on the radio quite a bit. I love the album cover, one of their best. Saw them in Boone at App. State. Great LP.......

Expanding upon their previous album, America gets even more creative and makes an album as good as gold. The entire album is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish.

this is a great album but did you know that GARTH BROOKS covered "dont cross the river"?

This is America's Best recording,, some of the best songs on this c.d dont get much attention. "Dont Cross The River" ,"Moon Song", "Cornwall Blank", and "Saturn Nights" are just as good as "Ventura Highway", and are a must to own if you like America.
