Ross continues his string of powerful albums. I had Ross play on my television show back in his JMU days and was one of our most talented artists to grace the stage. This album is another step in what is inevitably waiting Ross: stardom

Ross Copperman. He's one of my favorite people and musicians in Nashville. His last album, "Welcome To Reality," is one of the best pop rock records I have heard in quite a long time. If it were a vinyl, I would have worn it out a long time ago!
Ross moved from Virgina to the UK then to here to Nashville, where he is a songwriting machine, penning future hits on a daily basis. Now, Ross is back with a new EP, "This is Ross Copperman," and this, my friends, is once again, one heck of a magical, musical ride.
The EP opens and Ross is back in a big way with his signature piano, driving guitars, soaring choruses, grit and falsetto as he sings "Oh, welcome back, the fog has lifted. Feels like years have passed since you went missing..."
Yes, years, may have passed, but the songs still sound perfect, and Ross is still the driving pop rock master that we heard on "Welcome To Reality." However, with the passing years has come a new found sense of maturity in his songwriting. Pardon the pun, but Ross Copperman's talent as an artist, singer and songwriter absolutely shines through on his song "Shine."
"They can lift you up. They can bring you down so low. They can fill your cup, but it will never be enough. So wear your running shoes and run as fast, as fast as you can. You're gonna find out soon, that there's nothing left of you. You don't have to try so hard. You're beautiful the way you are. So just shine like the star that you are, that you are."
Lots of us can use this kind of positive encouragement in life. Whether it's an artist trying to navigate through the rough waters of today's music industry or anyone searching for their own identity, self-worth and place in this mixed-up crazy, world.
The four additional songs on "This is Ross Copperman" -- Talk, We Belong, If I and Sorry -- showcase and artist pouring out his heart, soul & God-given talent for the whole world to hear. This is Ross Copperman. And this, my friend, is music at its finest.
