I think this was a really good album that shows what Hip Hop is still capable of. Prince Paul's beats are nice on One, Postal, You got it, Tour Stories, Home Game, and blend well with their flows. This is definetly their best project since 93 till infinity. I knew once I heard Heiroglyphics "Full Circle" that they were coming back strong. Too bad the general public won't hear this on the radio.
another A plus album

And that wasn't meant to just be a pun. They really pull out the stops on this one. After listening to this album juxtaposed to 93 Til, you can see how each of the mc's matured, rapping about topics much closer to their age. They haven't lost their goofiness, in fact all that jive that made hiero pop is still here, less frenetic and crazy and more refined like aged wine. Souls is one of those groups that with each album sticks to their made men status while also changing to their times.
In other words, another great album
A Complete Album

This is the first complete rap album in I don’t know how many years. SOM delivers a tight, contemporary, and well thought out piece of work. There are a couple of songs that don’t do it for me, but most of the songs are on-point. Poets is addictive, Fourmation is a group that loves what they do, and For Real Y’all demonstrates everything good about rap and the hieroglyphic movement.
This album is so DOPE!

The basslines overpower the vocals throughout the whole album. Listened to it twice, and couldn't listen to it again, a shame because these guys have some lyrical skill.
