  • Stunning but lacking

I have bought a CD from Movie Mars that included an extra second cd containing Atsababy and the Pleasure of Love plus other songs that should have been included on this release. It was a steal for I only paid $10. And it was the last copy (still factory sealed). Why did you guys not included the 2nd CD?

Without the soaring hit single Genius of Love the album would have been looked over. There are some alright songs here and there. Boomin and Zoomin is weird and groovy. Wordy Wrappinghood is a great tune and has weird and humorous lyrics. The rest are breezy like L'Elephant and Loreli but they never take off fully. There should have been more r&b funk to bring the album home.

I love this album and I don't understand why all the comments are only about Genius of Love. I can listen to this album start to finish

The Tom Tom Club was before my time (born in '86), but Mariah Carey's song "Fantasy" brought me to listening and loving TTC's song "Genius of Love"

Old school classic! This was one of the rap songs from back in the day when thing were a lot more simple! Rap had more meaning then! (100)

I bought this record on vinyl back in the day. I'm a big T-Heads fan and have tried like crazy to like this record for the last 30 years. I can't do it. Genius of Love is an amazing track, no doubt. Lorelei is okay. The rest is forgettable at best.

This is an old school rola(song). I've been searching for this song for a while. Growing up in Oxnard Socal I used to hear the homeboys playing this song in their rides or @ parties. Good memories.
  • Serious Throwback

Man, I never tired of Genius of Love...check out the Wordy Rappinghood too for serious booty shaking throwback song of the early hip-hop, house. dance grooves of the early '80s. As a soppmore in college when the Genius I broke out in plenty of sweat back in the day. They were difeinitely on to something new...very cutting edge stuff back in the day. Just goes to show you when you are doing something for the fun it life turns sometimes turns out unexpectantly pleasant and influential. Another song from that era in a similar vein of Genius of Love was I'm Ready from Kano which is on iTunes too. Check it...they speak of the birth of the early electronic house/dance/hip-hop sounds before the Run-DMC variety came aboard.

My parents were totally into Tom Tom Club! I've fallen back in love as an adult! Favorite album of mine. Very innovate for their time. Some unique music.

I loooovvvve Genius of Love, I have been searching for this song for a very long time. I used to hear it when I was a kid growing up in Tampa, FL. Especially at the Florida State Fair. Just hearing it brings back some really great memories of summertime in Tampa. Thanks iTunes, you are the best!
