Fantastic mix, can't believe I waited so long to sample it. For those who complain about unmixed tracks (the edits), there are 2 continuous mixes that you can split on your own if want seemingly continuous mix of separate tracks, you can even use iTunes to do it. So stop complaining and start listening.
  • The silence was somewhat better.

I can listen to it alright, and I can listen to it and enjoy some here and there. The track selection is laudable compared to other compilations, the considerations put into this are far greater than say, ASOT 09 or Subculture, the mixing is a bit above average, but the 'trance' of it is very simply, not. To be honest, at first listen, I was impressed. On second listen, I started to hear the little patches where Moor fell in his mixing ability. Third listen, I found sections just lacking in focus, energy, foundation, and most unfortunately, essence. These days, a listen is thinly enjoyable, otherwise boredom and filler for time. However, my commendations to Andy for an interesting first attempt. And, by the way, btra03, any bipedal mammal with good ears can understand that this isn't as good as it could be.
  • Good album.

This is a good compilation of trance. For those wondering about the mixes, it has the mixed versions AND the unmixed (the unmixed versions are radio cuts). The mixes are excellent, of course.

...go to Beatport. 5 stars for Andy Moor and the mix, but I can only give it one star here for iTunes screwing up a another fantastic mix once again. When are you guys going to learn that these mixes aren't supposed to be tracked out? I KNOW for a fact that it's the US store that keeps messing this up, as it's NOT like this in the UK store. Get it right guys.

Wow...as usual Andy Moor continues to impress with his mixing skills and song selection...he said his aim with this album was to get people who dont usually dont enjoy trance to appreciate it and I think any bipedal mammal with ears can understand that this is real music...TRANCE 4 LIFE
  • Unmixed radio edits! :(

This album may be COMPILED by Andy Moor, but it's definitely not MIXED by him. I just purchased this mix album because Andy Moor is one of my favorite trance DJs and producers... With this release being a DJ MIX, I would've expected iTunes or Armada to release this as a DJ MIX (with each track flowing seamlessly into the next). But NOPE! At the end of each track, the music fades to silence, and the next track begins fresh. To make matters worse, the songs are edited down to 3 or 4 minutes (so they're also pretty much useless for digital DJs who would want to mix the tracks themselves)! This was EXACTLY the same problem I had with the iTunes release of Armin van Buuren's "A State of Trance 2009." To both Moor and AvB's credit, the final track on both "discs" are the hour-long continuous mixes, so if you enjoy listening to mixes without the ability to skip tracks, more power to you. But why not just format the tracks as they were originally intended (with Moor himself mixing one into the next)? Or at least add chapters to the "continuous mix" tracks, ala enhanced podcasts! I'd recommend purchasing the physical CD release instead (or better yet, just subscribing to Mr. Moor's excellent, FREE "Moor Music" podcast).
  • Amazing!

It's been at least five years since I've heard a mix this good. Each piece ties in to the next seamlessly. If you're familiar with Andy Moor's style then you won't be disappointed at all. He took it to another level with this release. If you've never listened to Andy Moor before then you're in for a treat. This is a must buy. Seriously, in a sea of bland trance, this is brilliant.
