With his second EP, Dylan is showing that he knows he's young and still has a lot of room to mature as an artist. That doesn't detract from his skill as a rapper though and in the age of autotune and big beats Dylan Owen shows some hope for the future of lyricism. There is a clear theme of youth in this album and sometimes it feels like he's trying too hard to stick to with it. The exception from this album is A Bad Case of the Gimmies because it doesn't really embrace the theme and is better for it. This album is very good, but in my opinion his first EP was better lyrically; if the lighter beats from this EP were combined with the lyrics of the first one it would be almost perfect. Dylan needs to not force anything and just do what comes naturally in his future albums. That's not to say this album is bad by any means, it's still a good album, just not what it can be. Keep writing dope lyrics.

Dmac, music is incredible with beats and lyrics that could put a baby child to sleep! Blasting the CD in my car is the best thing since slided bread!
