This is pure inspiration. I love seeing people doing what they love in a positive way. We are definitely "knee deep in some good old goodness" with this one. The flow of the album is impeccable. I would love to work with this young lady in the near future!

Soul Album of the Year: 2009

I hope it's not too early to name the Album of the Year. With nearly
four months left in 2009, doing so would be a bold move on any critic's
part. The buzz on the streets, the DJ booths, and the offices is all the
same. Choklate's sophomore effort, To Whom It May Concern, is dope on
wax! Here at the DJ Consortium, her debut cd gets heavy airtime on our
playlists. This gorgeous singer/songwriter from Seattle epitomizes the
successful grind of an independent artist. A well crafted plan, Choklate
has paired herself with some of the best producers in the game. Most
notably, Vitamin D blesses like Midas and lends a generous portion of
dope beats, thumpin' basslines, and rhythmic creativity on the boards.
The cd flows and will catch your attention with the first listen.
Standout tracks include "Call It Good (Sorry)", "Hunney's Runnin", and
"6.8 Billion". "Ain't It Funny" is a slower, sexy groove which will bode
will for your after hours encounters.
Choklate is that rare performer who seems to gel with the music. Her
voice is leaving a lasting impression on connoisseurs of R&B. We
are pleased to honor this album as our top choice for 2009! We continue
to follow Choklate's career as she is an inspiration to indie artists
and music fans everywhere. Take a moment to indulge in this solid
collection of soulful gems. Enjoy!

Outstanding!!!

It is just a shame that the really good music that is coming out these days isn't even played on the radio. It's just not marketable and commercial enough. Choklate's second CD is just amazing, the music, the writing and her singing, makes every track a must hear. There is definitely no sophmore slump here, I must commend Itunes for carrying some really good Neo-Soul music with artists that would otherwise not be heard. Some of the best tracks on this CD is "Suns Out", "One'a Y'all", "Ain't It Funny". So, if you are tired of the commericialized, radio "crap", give Choklate a listen.
