  • Worth the wait

After a world tour, time for R&R and new music for a new album, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge was worth the 3 year wait following OU812. This is VHโ€™s best engineered and produced album. Eddie on guitar, Alex on percussion, Mikey on bass, and Sammy delivering lyrically and vocallyโ€”it doesnโ€™t get better than this. This album is a sonic powerhouse. Van Halen was the best rock band on earth.

This is hands down my favorite Van Halen album and the band's best with Sammy Hagar on vocals. The production is stellar and the band are in peak form. A must own

the ironic thing is that Van Halen actually had Alice in Chains open for them on this tour.....Talk about killing yourself to live.....

There are five great songs (Right Now, Poundcake, Top Of The World, Runaround, Judgement Day) but everything else seems like filler. Those five songs are enough for a 4.5-star, but I had to round so I rounded up.

This is definately the best sound Hagar era Van Halen album. Very loud guitar driven hard rock. The closest the hagar era got too sounding like the original band (but still VERY different). Top 5 Songs: Poundcake, Judgement Day, Right Now, Top of the World, The Dream is over.
  • Van Hagar at its peak.

All Van Hagar should've never happened. No one will ever know why Ed let Sammy ruin him, but it doesn't matter. It happened and we all have to live with trash like Right Now permeating the airwaves. Where have all the good times gone?

If you look at the first letter of each word in the title you'll get it. It's bad but creative. Any way top of the world was amazing and man on a mission has an awesome riff. Gotta love pound cake. I honestly don't know what I like better the bread or the song๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
