    As any deadhead knows, their live music is where the heart and soul of the band is. This album is extremely high quality. The clarity is unsurpassed. I use Sugar Magnolia from this album to share what the Grateful Dead sound is. If you do not own this, purchase it. You will not be unhappy.

    If you like Pigpen you have to get Hard To Handle, Aint It Crazy, and It Hurts Me Too! I got this before the Dead released it on CD for free (a LONG time ago). I have been going through my collection and had to search for these tunes since I did not label them with the date and venue and I FINALLY found them here! It figures they released this to CD since they were definitely ON POINT this night long ago! The 3 tunes above are the best versions I have ever heard so check them out.

    I am a man that was born in 1985. I was never able to see a live grateful dead show. This fact does not keep me from being a self proclaimed dead head. I eat, drink, sleep, breathe, and anything else, GRATEFUL DEAD. I let you know this to inform you that THIS is the album that made me fall for them. It is just one(1) of the best live dead releases on disc(or mp3, whatever). Every version of every song represents a standard for myself whilst listening to any concert. Birdsong, especially, along with Hard to Handle, and the entire last disc are simply breath-taking. The entire album (and the Fillmore run in general that year, just that this is the best recording of the shows ) is engraved into my brain as the best Grateful Dead to listen to. Every set is in perfect order. Pig Pen is still alive, and ROCKING like the animal he is! This is an amazing set of music that is a MUST, and should be considered an investment for the well being of your mind...(~);}

    This Hard to Handle has to be one of the greatest rock and roll recordings of all time. Absolutely blows the doors off.
