You couldn't be any more wrong. Skinner is in a class of his own and challenges our standards of traditional hip-hop. He has more talent and ingenuity in himself than most musicians today, and this album and Original Pirate Material stand as a testament to that. If you don't even kinda like this album I couldn't imagine you liking a lot of hip-hop and you must have a terrible ear for music.

This has to be one of the worst albums claiming to be rap I've ever heard. Laffy taffy still keeps this away from number one as the worst song of all time. If only the occasional remotely comedic lyrics were enough to save this flaming pile of dog something or other. This isn't even rap. Its misappropriated words that somehow manage to rhyme occasionally through sheer luck, with beats that remind me of early 90's video games. The only way you could get worse than that, is by TRYING to make the music sound like you don't care at all. 2 stars for effort.

I kid you not, this is probably one of the top 3 popular-genre albums of the young century. It's that brilliant. The replay value on Skinner's second album is incredible. Do not be swayed by the catagory of "Hip-Hop/Rap." This is plodding two-step, like the rest of The Streets' albums. This is poetry with incredible hooks. The entire album essentially unfolds in singular narrative fashion. Each track stands alone well enough, but together they create an urban opera unlike anything R. Kelly could ever hope to create. Skinner's vulnerablility, anger, paranoia, and youthful mood swings all provide a dynamic arrangement of styles and moods, but the best part of it all is the absolute accuracy of it all. Even his cliches come across as profound thanks to plot he develops. The incredible feat here is that the album is a giant but somehow deeply personal. You'll have to spin this to best understand. Of course, now that The Streets is a big deal, RS gave him 4 stars for his latest album to make amends, despite his latest being likely the weakest.

I love this album, it really portrays the kinda average English guy. I don't really think this music should be considered as rap...more electronica...but whatever. It's really awesome! Buy it now!
