Decent but not a highlight

This would be a decent album for the typicla early 80s pop star but not for a great singer-songwriter like Jackson Browne. His most contemporary album at the time, it predictably has become the one of his most dated. His first song literally has disco influences. There are some good songs in the more "traditional" JB mode, although the lyrics aren't as ambitious as his previous work. Not the worst album to add to the collection, but it's far from his best effort. Newcomers should look elsewhere before considering this.
