Not A Bad Album...Really!

Hasselhoff's crazy legend as being "big in Germany" was certainly true in 1989, when his single "Looking For Freedom" was a tremendous hit there, one of the biggest songs of that year. And it actually WAS a catchy euro-dance song. The Hoff really does have a good voice, if very theatrical. He is as suited for Broadway material as he is the pop standards on this collection. He does a very good job with "Blue Bayou," and it actually sounds really nice. His Baywatch persona and widespread legion of mockers has made him one of those celebrities nobody will ever take seriously, but he really deserves credit for being a good singer of this type of material. But I guess he doesn't mind criticism. He's been laughing at it all the way to the bank for years.
