Phenomenal album; helped me to grieve and heal

I found this album when it came out in 1993, and it was pivotal for me in a very specific way. I had a beloved family member who was an addict. Jane's very personal material and musings on life, love, and loss, gave me a reference point from which to heal. Ten years later, when we lost this young member of our family, the memories of this album, and how it imprinted me, kept me whole.

Bought this cd when it 1st came out and could not believe how amazing it was everytime I listened it, a movie could be made around this cd/ album. Reminded me of Kate Bush style of writting, it will take you on your own personal journey if you just lay down close your eyes and let the music and lyrics take you away.
Sensual beyond belief

This is an atmospheric musical journey that you will want to return to many times. I, like the previous reviewer, first heard about this from that same Holly Hunter interview about her favorite things of 1993. I will forever be in both Holly and Jane's debt.

I was introduced to this cd through an article I was reading years ago about Holly Hunter. She listed it as one of her favorites and thought I'd give it a listen. I was in for a wonderful surprise! Siberry is so talented and her voice is angelic! The song structures are very unique and lyrics are thought-provoking. So, anyone willing to give this a go will likely be glad they did...
