I downloaded this album about three weeks ago. I already wrote a brief review and I wanted to write a Full review. I have to do this album justice and show how I felt about this album. 1. Asalamu Alaykum. This song grabs your attention. It’s new, and yet it sounds familiar like our old Somali classic songs . It was truly a joy listening to this song. 2. Hiddo & Dhaqan. WOW! Now this is where I realize that this artist is on to something special, it’s a very modern yet, Classic Somali song. The rhythm, melody, and lyrics of this song are 10 out of 10. 3. Mac issi. As a Muqdishian girl, I can’t stop dancing to this song. It’s a fun song for all ages and it is a love song. I love the rhythm and the lyrics are nice too, an all around a fun song, love it. 4. Maseexdo. Even though it is a love song, the lyrics are nice, but I am not a fan of the auto-tune or the sound in the background. I just wish it was little bit clearer, but it okay. 5. Deeqa. Another WOW song! I love it! It’s well put together and it makes this album worth more then $10, classic Somali song no doubt. 6. Hanaanka. Modern Somali song with the old poetic soul. It’s very pretty song. 7. Go’ doomey. An waa go’doomayeey garabkaa mahaystee. The first Somali pop, this is what makes this album Ooh so sweet. Blast this song in your car! I love it. 8. Set the frequency. Self explanatory. Even though I wish the song dhuulboy was in this album! 9. Dhadhami. I love this song! It has a Afro/Somali sound, of which I happen to like. 10. UUR HOOYO. When I got to this song, I started to really appreciate this album and work that went into making this song. It has classic Somali sound and feel, which makes this song an absolute master piece undoubtedly and it’s ONE OF TODAYS BEST AND TOMORW’S CLASSIS! Everything came together for this song; the beautiful lyrics, melody, rhythm the whole song is just fantastic. 11. Saafi. I like this song! To me it has a little Somali reggae beat, but it is very up to date and is a very nice song. 12. Home. This song has a special meaning to every Somali who has left HOME. It’s very sweet and touching. Okay we Somalis now a days we have a lot of Waayaha Cusub, but this album is nothing like the W/C, because it is modern, but not too modern, and it didn’t stray far away from our traditional classic Somali music. It just brings us in to the 21st century, so every Somali Man, Women and Child will love this album. If you thinking about downloading this album, I really hope this helps because I downloaded it and love it. -And to the artist (whom by the way is not just a singer, but is composer, writer, and music producer as well), Thank you.
