I was turned on to this album by an iTunes Free Song of the Week. It is a great addition to my Latin collection. Very rhythmical. Nice work!

I received "Camote" as a free discovery download, and I thought the rhythm was original and infectious. I downloaded the album, and I can't stop dancing! I love that Afro-Peruvian music is making its way into the U.S.--this group is a true gem for any lover of Latin, electronica, or those who love the rhythms of conga and Afro-Latin drums. Stellar tracks include "Concheperla", "Coba Guarango", "Kumana." I like the Cuban hip-hop fusion on "Ruperta" a lot. Great music for parties. I put them on in the morning for a good start to my day!

  • Great mix

Kumaná is the best theme. Hipnotizing rythm that makes your body start to move. But this album could be a lot better without the last song "Bolero", the lyrics of that song are so silly.

A very bold take on Afro Peruvian music. Imagine Susana Baca collaborating with Theivery Corp. A great disc, highly recommended.
