    Nico Muhly is definitely proving himself to be a big contender in the arena of Hollywood's biggest and brightest film composers. We will undoubtedly hear more from him in the future, and I look forward to it. What I love about this score is that it is gorgeous, rich, somber, restrained, and dripping with romanticism all at the same time. The same reasons I listen to Desplat, Newman, Zarvos and my new favorite Josh Kramer. Bravo!

    Nico Muhly's soundtrack for Stephen Daldry's film The Reader is a beautiful companion to the story that takes place on screen, but also stands on it's own. It's a fantastic accomplishment and one that will reward you upon multiple listens.

    I bought this album a few days ago, expecting to like only a couple of tracks and ended up loving the entire album. Nico Muhly is truely inspiring, and his music is just amazing. It was worth every penny, I definitely recommend this album.

    I just saw this movie a few days ago. It was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, along with "Revolutionary Road". The score was so astonishing; every track went with the scene, and helped convey the emotions of the characters. I believe that Kate Winslet and David Kross deserve to be nominated for this movie, because it was absolutely spectacular. Not a dull moment.
