I bought this album when it first debuted. I had been waiting for a Christmas album from Sara for years, and was initially disappointed, but every year I love it more and more. I also came to appreciate some of the songs more after hearing attending a Christmas concert where she explained the meaning behind some of the songs--I will never listen to the song O Holy Night in the same way again! I have really come to love her original take on some of the classics (specifically It Came Upon a Midnight Clear and O Holy Night) and think her originals are brilliant.

I absolutely love this album! It is refreshingly different from most other Christmas albums. Saw her in concert and was blown away by her authenticity and "real"ness...this album is both my husband and I's favorite Christmas album. Hearing the songs in new ways keeps the message fresh. Especially love...Oh Holy Night.
