It’s like Prince, Marvin Gaye and D’Angelo had a test tube baby and had it grow up in the not-so-nice-suburbs with a 4 track. It’s not that it doesn’t have any weak points (rare is the double album that doesn’t), but man oh man are the good tracks some diamonds in the rough.

This by far one of the best albums that I've purchase off Itunes. It's very unique and if you like real music that's made without all the commercial bulls^^^^ then you're gonna love this album. He created a masterpiece with this album and love every song on this album!!

Cause pretty soon everyones going to pretend to have been long time fans. It's an amazing album on its own, then throw in the fact it was recorded in codies bedroom. He made in his bedroom what most bands couldn't create in a studio under the guide of fifty producers and a major record label. he's easily one of the most brilliant musical minds of our time, I just wish he would commit to releasing more music while we still have him around.

People say who is Cody Chesnutt? Listen to the Headphone Masterpiece as soon as you can!! When I first purchased this album back in 03 they sales guy gave me this look like "you have made a suprisingly excellent choice". Once I left the store I popped in my discman and off I went smiling the whole way!! This is the most undiscovered artist with the talent to back it up!! Been patiently waiting for the next album of genius; but Headphone Masterpiece can hold me over for more years too come!!

People are too closed minded. This is a fun blend of so many different genres you can't help but love it. Recording quality isn't great, but take account of the songs and you won't notice anything. Just buy it dummy.

Wow, First review?? Ok - This is such a great record....a bit on the lo-fi side, but what can ya do. Cody is such an amazing song writer - and it does not matter what the quality is like - A good song is GOOD song. I wish he would release a studio record.....But untill then - This is all we got!!!! BUY THIS ALBUM. Its a bit weird - but full of SOUL!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy this!!!!!
