Complicated Sweetheart

Melanie has such a smooth, lovely voice, and this album really shows it off. I prefer it to her first album on many levels. The songs vary in style more than "The Adventures Of..." and they are all around nice songs. Songs like Mister Accidental, Like Love, and Because I Do have a nice upbeat nature and some of the best on the album. Lovers Home is probably the most beautiful song on the album. The guitar is so simple, but so enticing, and her voice is gorgeous, accompanied by soft whispering in the background.. it sends shivers down my spine. but my FAVORITE song HAS to be Sydney After Dark. it is so different from anything else she's down, and its beat is just so grabbing. It has some exotic instrument in it that I don't know the name of, and its just really catchy. Melanie Rocks - buy this album - you won't regret it.
