I love Home & Garden!! The songs are so fresh and clean, similar to the style of Abercrombie & Fitch. I especially love Easy Going Down; so easy to dance to and listen to at the same time.
  • Uber excellent dance record.

This is clearly a timeless and classic record. How many incredibly artistic people can you throw together on one record?! H&G has that flavor and feel and takes you on their journey. The foundation is tight and the tracks are infectious. Easy Going Down my favorite and Domesticated too....the men behind this record are uber talented. Buy this NOW.

wow. i was first intrigued by a press review that listed the guests being featured on this album, several artists from different areas (and eras) of dance music. you've got derrick carter, perhaps one of the most well-respected house djs to come out of chicago (no disrespect to any of the countless other incredible legends of course!!) mic murphy - of THE SYSTEM, who was releasing music back in 1982! lucy woodward - who if you live in nyc you've probably heard at least a dozen times. jennifer karr - who after some investigation, i've found has written music for jennifer lopez and other big names. anyway.. i could go on as the other artists are also very reputable, but the point here is that its interesting to see so many different kinds of artists on one album. after checking out the music itself, i was so impressed by how this music doesn't seem to have come from any one particular era, it seems to have come from many. you've got some 80's flavored bits, some disco, some funk, some house music, some lounge...but somehow its consistent, and fits together very very well. this leads me to jump to the incredible conclusion that this music seems pretty darned (dare i say) timeless! i've listened to the album probably 10 times now.. and i have to say everything on here is pure quality. nice work home & garden! thanks :)

No eager reinventions of the dance music genre, but a nearly perfect pitch perfect collection of timeless dance creations. Beautiful, classic arrangements, with gorgeous vocal tracks. "Wanna Walk Away" with Lisa Shaw incredible deep vibe and performance. "Someday" also beautiful slow build of tasteful deep love. "Easy Going Down" breathy, sexy vocals, with clever writing and rich harmonic progression. "All the Same" nu-disco vibe with sassy delivery. Great headphone electronic record, and pre/post disco transporter.

Super high-end sexy bumper! My standouts: "Easy Going Down" great vocals and arrangement, "Domesticated" great groove and dope horn arrangement. "Someday" classic sexy late nighter from Lisa Shaw. "In & Out" paradise garage style late disco, great stuff!
