I find nothing wrong with this style of ministry! STOP acting like Modern DAY Pharisees! As I am reading some these reviews, I now have better understanding why the least, the lost, and the left out will never come to the House of God, not to mention approach a so called Christian. NO more church as usual. God does not need anyone’s permission or approval to use whom ever He chooses to reach those that are stuck in the gutter of life. I grow concerned about the nay-sayers who criticize without substantiation. Although no comment is taken personally, I am uneasy when a message from someone ( or a few people) who purports to be a Christian expresses contempt for the body of believers. I say this time and time again, Criticism offered absent the love of Christ is not offered for correction but rather for condemnation. The Criticism expressed by those who view themselves as one of the only "truly righteous" is only going to alienate others, and what a pity that is, because the role that they can play for the cause of Christ is minimized simply because of their judgmental attitude. THIS IS WHAT MAKES THE GOSPEL so unique and powerful than any other genre. The story of hope, faith, redemption, salvation, the cross, the death, the resurrection can be told on many different platforms to reach the least, the lost, and the left out. Jesus’ story can be told in JAZZ, holy hip hop, traditional , rock, country, blue grass, rock and toll, pop, old school. As long as the message of Jesus is not polluted or watered down. Each platform matters. I’ll put it to you this way, we are all called to reach a remnant of people, who Shirley Cesar can't reach, Kirk Franklin can, who Kirk can't reach, the caravans, mighty clouds of joy can, who they can't reach.. Christian hip hop artist, canton Jones, Da Truth, Lecrae, Cross movement, can, who they can't reach, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Third day, Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Avalon, Steven Curtis Chapman, Randy Travis, and Gaither Singers can, so on and so forth. SO don't you turn your lip up at an psalmist who IS NOT assigned to reach you, their assignment is to reach your neighbor, your brother, your sister, those crazy relatives in your family, your co-worker who may never step foot in a church, but their lives can be changed by the power of God through the very ministry and artist you are putting down. IT's ALL GOSPEL, so chill! Instead of throwing cheap darts at Detrick Haddon, try to figure out if you are making disciples for Jesus..

The best CD I heard all year!!!!!!!! The Lord has given my brother a fresh wind a new sound that's filled with God's word an encouragement!!!!

I think I just found my new favorite Christian artist! This guy is the whole package! AWESOME!

As a Christian I wish we would be more open to different sounds and music. God is the most Creative being...why can't we His people reflect that beauty. Deitrick is doing something different with these songs. Deitrick is not compromising God's word on this album. We need to focus on saving the unsaved instead of making the same old music that we like to hear every Sunday. We have many young people who souls are lost, if they can listen to these songs and be touched by God then Deitrick has done his job...This is some of his best work...GO DEITRICK...BE BLESSED!!!!

I absolutely love both jams! Although, I do differ from the other reviewers when I say "The Word" is my favorite. I won't be buying the singles, but I will totally be buying the album. I can't wait!
