  • Nothing Better!

What could be better than old time hymns (y'know when God really still mattered in the world) put to new, invigorated, polished, music. At todays expected professional, technical standards. Awesome God honoring lyrics. Incredible mix of talent. Just amazing. The only thing better, in my opinion, is their latest offering.
  • A Devotional Soundtrack

The album artistic accomplishment comes from the unique folk sound each song portrays. The instrumentation gives off a relaxing and meditating atmosphere, perferct to be used as a devotional soundtrack. Each song portrays a message of hope and strenght that can only be found in Christ Jesus. The hymn title and lyrics would seem familiar to any church member, but these artist pull off a task of communicating these hymns with a new song. The music is not tasteless or distracting; but rather, these new arrangments only add a bold new stance to familiar and favoite hymns of the Church's hertiage.

MMM, good. The Indelible Grace Project takes old hymn lyrics and rewrites music to them to bring them up to date. Most of the music fits into the acoustic, folky, coffeehouse, soft country genre. This is high quality stuff. Sandra Mccracken's "Heart bereaved and lonely" can break your heart with her aching voice. If you are sick of contemporary Christian music (or can't stand it), give these albums a chance. These are hymn lyrics that still speak to the heart and soul. And there is enough good music here to make buying the whole album worth it. Don't worry about getting this album because you are afraid it might be "too religious." Enjoy the great music and performances. And you may just find a few of the hymns speaking to your own situation.

This is well worth it. When I want to focus on God, I'll sometimes put on a Christian radio station, but at times I turn it off because the lyrics are so trite. The Christian life isn't always about being happy. These songs are based on old hymns, but they are much more lyrically real than many songs today. They struggle with deep issues and encompass a wide range of emotions we experience with our Father. Plus, the modern adaptations make them sound great! Check it out! Very enriching.

This is good music dedicated to praising God. It is refreshing and cleansing how you can get lost in the words and melodies. AMAZING!!!

These albums are an awesome way to be reminded on a regular basis of the deep words of old hymns through upbeat and current music styles. To bring back the lyrics of wonderful hymnwriters of old and make those words accessible to the current generation through upbeat music styles and praise music is to bless the world all over again with the glory of the old hymns. Thanks iTunes for finally putting these online and please get all 5!

It is so good to see Indelible Grace on iTunes. While hymns albums are popular these days, what makes this project so unique is that, for the most part, these songs are not familiar selections. What the artists of Indelible Grace have done — and what they do so well on all their projects — are hold older (think 300 years old) songs up to the light, give them an up-to-date suit of music and then let the listener appreciate their beauty. These are wonderful songs that point to the need for fallen sinners of a magnificent Savior in Jesus Christ. And, to keep the message clear in the listener's mind, we are treated to outstanding musicianship and distinctive vocals. These collection of songs are a treat and remain fresh, powerful and inspiring in listen after listen.
  • Great stuff, highly recommended!
