Really cool rarity bonus material on what in physical copies is the 2nd disc, but it seems to be missing the two tracks above; maybe others? Oh well, perhaps they're on the b-sides & rarities collection i guess.

The Cure's first album proves what can be accomplished when you take stripped down elements and assemble them with style. The Cure's body of work is most celebrated for lush production and epic constructions; here are the bones of that body. Consider the opener "10:15 Saturday Night," with its clean, skeletal sound and anatomical structure; there is as much "there" there as in any multi-tracked operatic tune, it's just that it lacks fleshiness. When you consider the early progression of the Cure, you can feel the extra flesh being applied throughout each new album: nervous system in SEVENTEEN SECONDS, pumping organs in FAITH, and hard working muscles in PORNOGRAPHY. When you consider where that progression led them over the years--especially to the magnum opus DISINTEGRATION--then the Cure's early genius in the spare, playful, experimental, and brilliant THREE IMAGINARY BOYS becomes especially obvious. --Joshua Hendrickson

this is actually one of my favorite cure albums. its amazing to see how much their sound changes over the years. but this album is for sure worth the purchase. especially if you really want to know all about the cure.
