I first heard Elektra while skimming through the radio show Anjunabeats Worldwide 069 (May 4th, 2008) and this stunning beaut stood out. I spent a wealthy amount of time in the spring of 2008 listening to this song before the EP release, becoming my most played song of all-time within a couple months. Elektra grips me, because of its melancholy and larger-than-life melody and doleful vocals contrasted by a techy bassline and grinding beats. Basically, the first time I heard it, its many shifts in direction (from electro to uplifting trance to tech-trance and back again to uplifting trance) caught me by surprise. There is a true feeling of inspiration built in this one. You sense it, but it doesn't force you into that feeling by overdoing itself. Its infectious beauty is manifested in this contrast between the melody and the beats I mentioned earlier. With a library of several hundred trance songs, this one is at the top for me. The remix tends to bring out the tech side of Elektra more than the original, but is a fine listen as well. Frankly, the original of Elektra is what most people are talking about when they call upon this tour de force of a trance record.
Elektra-fying!

Ive been a fan of thesre guys ever since I first heard Helsinki Scorchin, and this track is just as amazing, and surprisingly uplifting as well. 08 was definitely the big one for them, keep em comin in 09!
Superb. What we expect from Super8 & Tab.

If you like trance, get this EP. Elektra is a fantastic tune, a perfect example of the magic that this team creates on a regular basis. It's been a while for these two, but I assert that this is worth the wait. Elektra has a pumping beat, a killer bassline, and a really beautiful lead melody (you won't hear it in the preview, but trust me, it's worth the dollar).
The Bart Claessen RMX is pretty okay... if you like Bart Claessen. Don't buy unless you like really progressive stuff.
Point is though, the original mix is worth the buy. A must have for any anjuna/trance fan.
