yeah, this was pretty much one of the nastiest recordings of its day. this band was white hot, and the opening track just rips it right out of the gate and it never lets up. great guitar work, really tight horns, great arrangements and some serious stink on everything and recorded live. can't believe this is only $5.94! Every cut is great, I highly recommend it.
Incredible album

This is simply put the highest level of musicianship I have ever heard in any jazz recording. All the musicians on this recording play almost telepathically with incredible instinct and skill. Can't rate it 6 stars, too bad.
amazing album, amazing playing...

This album needs to be remastered and reissued but it is classic Brecker Brothers at their best!! This was an incredibly influential album through the late 70's and 80's. Just listen to Michael Brecker's synthesized, wailing sax solo break in 'Some Skunk Funk' and you'll hear what I mean. Raw jazz funk at it's best!! I lost and wore out my copy of this album years ago and so did most Brecker Brothers and Michael Brecker fans as well I'm sure.
