This is not representative of what a classical saxophone tone should sound like. There are also far too many moments where pitch is not acceptable. I appreciate the work and effort but fundamentals are lacking.

This is a live recording of a DePaul University faculty recital which were remastered from the original tape recording. They are some of the most important pieces for classical saxophone. The Bernhard Heiden Sonata is lifted to new level of excitement and the Dahl is played with all of the broken 5th passages at the end. The Florent Schmitt is an excellent work deserving much more performance. These pieces are a must hear for saxophonists.
