this was Dawn's first album in 1970 with singer Tony orlando lending his vocals to the mix for his friends. a few months later Candida was a hit and tony was about to hit the road and had to find a Dawn since there was really no group. he would find Telma and joyce after the lp was released in 1971 but i think this is where the lp lacks. it is a good album with tony giving some good vocals but at times it is a bit to sugary for my taste ,which is where the two ladies named Dawn would have fit nicely onto this album. it needed some motown backing vocals to even it out. i think had they actually sang back up this would have been a great album. i was hoping when arista reissued the lp in 1975 , they would have added or changed the backing vocals especially sinc ethe group and their tv show was so popular at the time. to me adding Dawn would have made the difference, not a fan of Toni Wine way to sugary vocals
