Cy was once steeped into a conflict with mainstream artist T-Pain over the usage of the circus theme in their respective albums, even when it is clearly documented that Cy used it first. Obviously, being a Christian who speaks the Truth, the world does not want to listen, but Cy on a Holy Culture Radio podcast humbly mentioned how God helped him in this tough situation in his ministry, despite the chance to be called a biter even though he created this material first.
With that said, as all Christians who spit the Truth of God's Love on the mic or in their daily lives might and will face rejection, Cy has moved on and he knows his music will continue to touch the lives of those who love Jesus and want to have their lives changed by Him. To the casual mainstream listener, they might dismiss this is as a typical Gospel rapper, but to those who listen well to his truth-oozing lyrics and beats that are infectious, this is a nice change of pace for listeners who need encouragement and uplifting praise-raps.
