Her music is like a cool breeze in August or hot chocolate in December. She’ll make you smile…even if you don’t want to.

This cd is really good. I love the songs that have a Nora Jones kinda sound. Alex you are one very lucky guy to have a girlfriend like this. Plus you and Kevin are my heroes. DIGGNATION!

While I must take in to account this is a first effort, I can’t help but notice the significant and numerous shortcomings of this album and I am left unsatisfied with my purchase.
First and most noticeably, the vocal talent leaves much to be desired. Neither strong on the high end nor sultry and soulful, her voice falls in the middle, completely unremarkable and even stale at points. I can get behind a subpar voice as long as it sings with passion and heart, unfortunately with this album I would have to check to see if the singer had a heart at all.
Next is the near schizophrenic tone and mood of the songs. The album is heavy with songs that try to be deep or emotionally significant and fall short, but also tries to have upbeat and fun songs that take an unpolished voice even further from its element, stretching it far too thinly. In the end, you’re left not knowing what to expect next and end up being disappointed with the heavy and disjointed tonal transitions.
When I step back and look at this album as a whole, I don’t see a $11 album that stands up to others of its price bracket. I see an eMusic, end-of-month, “gotta use my quota”, purchase and maybe some hope for the future, but honestly I wont be looking out for anything from this artist again.

So I am so jealous of Heather Stewart. First off, she's got Alex (*drool*) and secondly, SHE CAN SING AMAZINGLY! I love her music.
PS-Alex should put lullaby on itunes because I would buy it too.
Good album!

Great album. Learned about it through Diggnation, ended up loving it. I'm not even into this genre, but the vocals and emotion are clearly there.
Wow, not what I expected

I have had Life of the Party on my MySpace page off and on for awhile. I love Heather's voice..and I am very excited for her to have this album out. The songs are relaxing, and fun to have playing while driving on a sunny day in a pickup with the windows down and the dog hanging out the window....great work. Good luck promoting this. I've told my friends.
Diggnation plug! But not a lot else.

Heather has a lovely voice and utilizes an assured recognition of melody and lyricism. However, I can't listen to this without thinking I've heard it somewhere before, and some of the songs come across as downright tacky (He Loves Her) and maybe even irritating (Can He Be). "Life of the Party" alone is just interesting enough to keep the album afloat. Unless you are a hardcore Diggnation fan, buy the title track and give the rest of it a miss.
Better than your cooking Heather. Nice job !!!!!

What a voice. Nice soothing album. The plug by Alex was the reason i found out about Heathers music. I did purchase the album. Thanks itunes for everything indie.
