A magazine critic once said that the hooks that so many songwriters spend weeks searching for are the ones that Butch simply trips over on the way to his recording board. This album sounds like the hooks were beating him over the head, saying "pick me! pick me!". I've played it to death (and back and forth) and it never seems to age or become dated. This is Butch's classic album. He's moved away from the sound and, in many cases, the vibe of LOSC as of late and into a more hipster thing (I guess that's what it's called) which I don't really dig as much . I'm still hopeful that he'll wake up and be inspired to return to whatever well he was drinking from while working on this album. Required if you're a BW fan, recommended like a mutha if you're discovering his works.

I was devestated when they were forced to disband. I canno believe the anticipation and hardcore excitement I felt when I learned of Butch's solo project. I was lucky enough to be working at a record store at the time...and got plenty of people to buy it just by playing SugarBuzz. The feel-good, take-this, rock and roll epicness of this album makes me so happy. You will sing along with every bit of this album. And Butch's vocals just blow me away, especially on Sober.

Butch Walker has an amazing insight to the music world, and more importantly, knows how to have fun expressing his angst on this album. This album has a little bit of everything, rock n' roll-wise. Buy this if you want something to sing and rock to whenever!!

This is an amazing mix of Rock and Pop. From the first track you realize that he is as cynical as they come, yet he doesn't take himself too seriously. The album sounds cocky but is filled with humor and insight. The music is guitar driven but his astounding vocals shine through. This album is a testament of how messed up the record business is, because these songs should be on radio stations across the country.
