Wow- I love this style of music, but most bands that play this are either overplayed on the radio, or have been around so long that their music has gotten boring. But these guys are good; the sound is smooth and engaging and it's really nice to hear fresh music!

El Gato's follow up to 2002's "We're Birds" entitled "Surrender!" is a melodic and vibrant effort. The Dallas based band does not disappoint as the scope of their musical prowess is impressive. Key tracks on the album are "The Frustrated Cowboy" and "Banging on Doors."
A great album, my favorite of the year so far. A+++
