Everything Brian touches is gold, and this album is worth it's weight. Not only is his musicianship astounding, but the lyrics are heartfelt and sincere, and the album abounds with love, sorrow, pain, and hope. Every song touches you in a unique way, and the beautiful melodies and harmonies will haunt you, leaving you yearning for more. Everytime this CD makes it into my player, it stays for weeks on end. Kudos, Brian, for an excellent album.

I have been following Brian since my days at Baylor and this album is above and beyond anything I ever expected. I have been a huge fan of his music since "a little gun shy" came out, but this album is at a different place than that or "the storm inside." the way brian connects with people and their stories and conveys emotions in only the way music can... some songs on this album will make you want to stand up and dance with them while others will slip you into a deep and comfortable melencholy that makes you feel as though you lived the events sung in the lyrics. I am left speechless and can't wait for more from this talented artist who has a load of gifts to share with the world. simply put: amazing.

I bought this album about a week ago and have listened to it at least 10 times already. Bullets & Bones has this beautiful, gritty, earthy realness to it that at times makes you want to clap your hands and stomp your feet, and at times chills you to the bone. Every song, from the heartache of "The Sweetest Goodbye" to the hymn-like conclusion of "Thief of the Night" is flawless and makes you shake your head in disbelief that there's somebody this good out there that nobody's heard of. But they will, very soon, because talent like this is truly rare. Do yourself, yo momma, and that long lost friend you haven't seen in a while and kind of regret it all a favor and buy them this album. Trust me, they'll thank you for it.
