Reviews

  • At last a new recording of a momental work.

I love the Arditti recordings but it's refreshing to see a young group such as the Pasifica pick up the tourch and keep these works in rotation. They have to because the Kronos Quartet wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Then again I'm not sure the Kronos has even heard of Elliott Carter. He's never written anything that includes a pipa and screaming.
  • Wrong music for download

At least when I downloaded the album, I received a potpurri of historical recordings of other composers' well know pieces of music. It is most definitely *not* Eliott Carter.
  • Warning

These are not the Elliot Carter Quatets described. What is downloaded are some old, scratchy recordings of two piano concertos (not very well played either. I hope to God they fix it. I'd rather like to hear the Carter Quartet no 5.
