Every beat is mellow but still as unique as the guest MCs on each track.

This is an amazing album. I just came across of there ones which happened to be “Vacation” and I got hooked!! looked for more and that encouraged me to just buy the whole album. Jazz Liberatorz are dope lyricist and have great beats to listen too!! A great album to bob your head to.
Best album ever?

This album from start to finish is in my opinion the best collection of jazz and hip hop combined. Each song has melody that is a perfect blend of hip hop and jazz. Each MC featured on the album rhythms are on point and their voices blend perfectly with the music. It makes each song feel like jazz but instead of a trumpet or saxophone soloing it is replaced by an artist whose voice fits in with the changing cords. On most albums I usually find one or two songs I like which either feature a really good MC but lacks the background or a nice background but has a subpar MC. Clin d'oeil however, is an album that you can listen to all the way through. I honestly can’t think of another album that is completed as thoroughly as this one and I would highly recommend this to any fan of hip hop, actually I would recommend it to any fan of music. Hopefully the Jazz Liberatorz will keep producing more records like this.
One of the best!

There can't be enough stars to give this album. I've had it for awhile and realized I forgot to review it. This is more than likely the best of 08. If it's not the best, it's definitely a top 3 album. Once you play it, you just play it over and over again. It has something for everyone and is just an awesome album to "chill" to.
Hip-hop lives.
Can't stop bumpin this!

KRS-One and Marley Marl were right in their recent album when they proclaimed that hip hop still lives. Sometimes you just have to look a little deeper... or cross an ocean. This is dope! Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of art.
a classic gem... this is simply phenomenal

The Jazz Liberatorz come out of nowhere to drop the hip-hop album of 2008, no question. This album reminds me of old Tribe and De La Soul, seamlessly merging jazz patterns and riffs with dope mc's and singers. If you don't buy this album you are doing your soul a huge misdeed.
Absolute niceness

Quite frankly there are too few albums like this one to get the image of violent and mostly crappy gangstarapping off the Hip Hop. It's unfortunate Guru, Mos Def, Tableek and other fellas relating to this particular genre get lost in between the mainstream MTV-promoted (c)rap. I sincerely hope this is not the last album of these Hip Hop liberators.
I'm writing this as I am getting my first listen

This album sends chills and my head hasn't stopped noddin' yet. The Jazz Liberatorz hit the nail on the head when they compared Jazz to Hip Hop. Hip Hop is the second coming of Jazz which is the second coming of the Blues and so forth. There isn't a track on this album I don't like and I highly recommend this album to true lovers of Hip Hop and lyrics that actually have meaning.
SOLID!!!
