I'm amazed of the populartiy of this song, it came out when I was in 3rd grade, and I was hooked. This song has so much meaning, soul, and life. I just-- I'm flawed. This is amazing. Ever since I foud this on iTunes yesterday, its been the only song I listened to. Wow, when this came out...It just seems like such a long time ago. It feels magical. I listened to this everymorning on the bus with my old radio. Its kinda like it came back to haunt me. In a great way.
So, to the actual SONG, (Sweetest girl)
Lyrics- Good, I'm still impressed. Its not a meaningless song, and there is no cursing. Not that Im AGENSED cursing, it just makes the song less annoying. 4.5/5
Background- The acustic guitar adds a nice touch. 4/5
Artists- This shows a diffrent side of Lil Wayne. Akon is the same, Niia is the same, and Wyclef--Amazing. 5/5
Little Problems- At 3:00 in the song there is a somewhat "creepy" change to the tone of voice in the background. It songs like an echo of the ecoh. Other than that, its great. 4.5/5
Crap next to Carnival I

Carnival I is far superior to this release, I bought it pre-release being excited about it and just listened to it again the other day and decided to rate it. Its got its plusses I suppose, but it really comes up short next to its predecessor, this cd was released for the clubs and thats all I really got from it, songs that eventually became repetative and irritating as a result (ie. touch your button, sweetest girl, fast car). Put simply, Carnival I I can listen to from beginning to end, Carnival II I can't.

yea uh DEF not a fan of sumone making a classic song waay worse... for all you non hip hop heads its the third song "sweetest girl." ANYONE kno where the beat is from that ppls are ga ga over? WU TANG CLAN b*****s! NOBODY can make that sheit harder. wyclef killed it. in a bad way. one star for the juvenile attempt.

This CD was amazing, but in my opinion the popularity scales don't give certain songs justice like Million Voices or Emmanuelle. This is a must have for any Wyclef fan.
