Dude benefit is not black. the guy on the cover is of color....I think, but yeah don't buy this thinking this is the same guy who brought you tracks like "so sick" and " proceed with caution." Once again I repeat this is not B.E.N.E.F.I.T. I think if he was going to blow up he would have done that by now so it's safe to say that a 10+ year old underground album is all the genius we are ever going to get from the greatest underground MC to ever live.
With that being said this guy isn't half bad. If I wasn't such a cheapo I'd buy it

Get this out of here. It's the wrong artist and genre. This dude is black, from MD, and his name is Benefit. The better album B.E.N.E.F.I.T. (special edition) is by a White dude named B.E.N.E.F.I.T. who happens to be easily one of the best MC's ever and is from the ATL. I don't want to bad mouth this Benefit because every artist deserves a chance, but putting him in with B.E.N.E.F.I.T. doesn't even give him a fighting chance (as the case would be with most MC's since this guy is so kill minus the K). Itunes needs to recategorize this album and this guy really needs to change his name if he wants any cred, plus B.E.N.E.F.I.T. has been around much longer (the album was released in '92 although it says 2006).

THIS IS NOT BENEFIT. Just listen and you will see. I dont know if this is some other rapper with the same name, or what is going on, but on Benefit's album B.E.N.E.F.I.T, he trashes commercial hip hop. Exactly what this album is. Terrible.

This is not the same Benefit as from the first album. Just listen to the voice on the album and the style, which is completely changed. None of this new music is featured on his myspace page and if you compare the voice to the Dangerous Minds Extended track, it is decisively not the same artist.
