I saw Wycliffe live and he is so amazing on his trombone. It was probably one of the best concerts I've been to. My favorite tune was one where he used the same technique as in "1st Thang" on this CD. It sounded like someone's voice! It was so cool to watch him use his mute and plunger in different ways. Wycliffe Gordon is an incredible musician - I recommend any and all of his music!!

This album is incredible. Wycliffe is the most versatile trombonist I know of. I've seen him live and all the crazy things he does here he also did on stage. The man is amazing. Buy the album.
