The Reaping: 8/10 Really sets the tone for the album, and is a great intro to track two No World for Tomorrow: 10/10 Great lyrics, and overall a very well put together song, helps set the tone for the entire album The Hound (Of Blood and Rank): 8/10 Good song, really unique in its beginning, but explosive and very interesting Feathers: 7/10 A good song, but this is Co&Ca on their more mainstream side, but not a bad song by far The Running Free: 7/10 Another on the more mainstream side of their music, but again, well written and very good Mother Superior: 8/10 Great semi-acoustic track, perfectly reflects the tone set by "The Reaping" Gravemakers & Gunslingers: 10/10 A fast-paced, screaming song, much more on the metallic side of Co&Ca, an awesome song filled with passion from frontman Claudio Justice In Murder: 8/10 Good track, some great lines, and Claudio brings out the passion once again The End Complete I - The Fall of House Atlantic: 8/10 A great intro for the five part suite "The End Complete." Dramatic, short, and to the point The End Complete II - Radio Bye Bye: 7/10 A good song overall, but once again on the Pop side of Co&Ca which isn't necessarily their best side The End Complete III - The End Complete: 10/10 The best song on the entire album, so many dynamic changes and so much passion, you feel like you're right there in the studio with Co&Ca while they play this one, great job The End Complete IV - The Road and the Damned: 8/10 A good followup track to "The End Complete III - The End Complete," and really helps give you that ending feeling that this album communicates-the true end of the story The End Complete V - On the Brink: 7/10 Not the strongest exit Co&Ca could have had, but definitely leaves an impact, with the ending lyrics screaming "Hail!" over and over, and the musicality of this track takes you right on through the final two minutes of the song, right down to the final cymbal hit Overall, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 2 - No World for Tomorrow is totally worth the money and the time to listen to, and is a great addition to any music collection Note: The real name of the album is in fact Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 2 - No World for Tomorrow, although iTunes shortened the name, as well as the titles of the final five tracks on the album, all of them being part of the suite "The End Complete"
  • Best Co&Ca album. End of story.

I've heard this album over a dozen times and it still isn't old. I can't name one song on this album that I don't like. They are all 8/10-10/10. I especially like No World for Tomorrow, The Running Free, and Mother Superior. If you like Coheed and Cambria, or rock in general, buy this album. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
  • Their Worst Album Ever ( But It Still Is Amazing)

People have criticized this album for many reasons. Some say it's too boring, others say it's too much lkike Good Apollo Vol.1. I think it is amazing. This mark's the end (kind of) of the Amory wars. And it ends on an epic note. Like any good story the climax happens near the end of the story but not at the end. The same happens here. The climax of the album is at The End Complete III, while the next two are resolution songs. On the Brink is probably their most genious song, especially if you like the blues like I do. It's a bitter sweet ending, but the story can really only end like that. Not to mention the latter part of the song when it picks up, you can feel the intensity of the story. Track 1-The Reaping- The intro, yet different than previous ones, this has lyrics. Sets up the album perfectly but it hard to call it a song, so i wont rate it. Track 2- No world for Tomorrow- A hard hitting intro riff pounds you iinto the ground, and doesn't let up. EPic lyrics (especially when he screams "I'm the Crowing!") 9/10 Track 3- The Hound (of Blood and Rank)- Start with a synth melody remminiscent of the Who's Baba O'riely. This has a very catchy chorus 8/10 Track 4- Feathers- My personal least favorite. It isn't bad, but i just listened to it too much. It's the most poppy song on here, and is the easiest song to get into, like Favor House Atlantic. 7/10 Track 5- The Running Free- Ok, I lied this one is my least favorite, I don't know what it is about this song. I think the riff is just doesn't change, and this one gets boring kinda quickly. It has catchy Chorus, but it's like really dark chocolate, it's amazing at first but after a while, it just becomes too rich to eat any more. 6/10 (pattern much) Track 6- Mother Superior- Amazing. With brutal lyrics, an awesome melody, and a heavy chorus this song seriously standas out at the top of the album. 9.5/10 Track 7- Gravemakers and Gunslingers- The Wlcome Home kileer. This song takes epicness to a new level. This song starts with a solo that will rip out you spleen (just picked a random body part) and smack your mother in the face with it. Claudio's voice really shines in this song too. 10/10 Track 8- Justice in Murder- Decent song with the best Chorus in the album, and a decent solo. 8/10 Track 9- The End complete I: The Fall of House Atlantic- Average instrumental with freaking epic drums 7/10 Track 10-The End complete II: Radio Bye Bye- Awesome the End complete's really shine in this album 9/10 Track 11- The End complete III: The End Complete- The climax of the album cound not have been more epic. This is a coheed masterpiece. 11/10 Track 12- The End complete IV: The Road and the Damned- Their best love song in my opinion. Sad song, easy to get into 8/10 Track 13- The End complete V: On the Brink- OMFG! This is god manifested into a Coheed song. I love the blues and the whole opening is a bittersweet, going on sad bluesy ballad, untill it changes pace with some Pink Floyd chords, then pounds you with the heaviest suff for the next few minutes. The worst part of the song is that it ends. 11/10 This album has some real shiners, but also has some that kind of dull the experience, they're all good, but some just aren't amazing.

I love love love this album, although it is my least favorite of theirs, it is amazing. Their old cds, especially SSTB will always be my favorite album ever made. But everything coheed comes out with is amazing and they work so hard to make amazing music for their fans. So buy this album and all of their others. Cant wait for YOTBR!!!

They got heavier and heavier as the albums dropped. They always had a mix of mainstream rock, prog, and some metal, but I feel the metal influences definitely shined on this album. Which is all the better for me! Maybe next they will add in some Black Metal vocals that sound like they are from Scandinavia! jk. That's an Opeth reference in case you don't know.
  • Best discovery I'd ever made.

The title says all. Heard 'The Running Free' on NHL09, and now I love all their songs. (: Though this isn't their best album, (their previous two are), it still deserves five stars because it's very close and I see that a lot has been put into this one. So now I'm going to rate the tracks individually to help you and to entertain myself. The Reaping - 10/10: The lyrics are beautiful, and it picks up from where Good Apollo 1 left off perfectly. NWFT - 10/10: My original favorite, it's a very hard-rocking track. It's beautifully written and the story is brilliant. The Hound - 9/10: I'm slowly starting to appreciate this one. It's a unique track, it's not like a lot of stuff that C&C have done. It strikes me as love-or-hate, but either way it's great. Feathers - 9/10: I loooove the lyrics in this one. It's about how people gather lies in their 'feathers' like how a pigeon gathers dirt... or something like that. Very poppy, but very catchy. (: The Running Free - 8/10: I have some appreciation for this song, being the first I'd ever heard, but I can honestly say it's not their best. It's a great song, though... poppy. Mother Superior - 10/10: No question. Ome of my favorite C&C songs of all time. Claudio's voice is amazing in this, it's such an emotional song... words can't do justice. Just buy it. Gravemakers & Gunslingers - 8/10: It's the darkest, hardest-rocking track on the album. Very, very good, love the guitar, but it also strikes me as love-or-hate... and I think it could be better. Justice in Murder - 9/10: I love this song. It's actually inspired by the passing of Claudio's aunt, who helped the band through a lot. If you didn't know that, go and listen to the lyrics. Sad, huh? Fall of House Atlantic - 7/10: A bit odd, but it makes sense if you know the story... House Atlantic is the lair of the main antagonist, Wilhem Ryan. So... that's why they sound upset. (: Radio Bye Bye - 9/10: Something about this song is just so addicting. It's very catchy, very poppy, but somehow very distinct. It's an odd but loveable song. The End Complete - 9/10: Another very hard track. Great lyrics.... hm, it's very hard to explain. Buy it & see for yourself. The Road & The Damned - 10/10: My favorite on this album by far. The most emotional track on the album... it's about Claudio the Character's thinking of his regrets & the loves he lost through his journey as the Keywork crumbles... and it's too late to change all of it. I'm almost brought to tears every time I hear it. Just buy it... seriously, it's worth the dollar. On the Brink - 10/10: The perfect closer. Great lyrics, though there's not many of them... don't let the length of the song intimidate you... it's great. I love how the song ends abruptly with ten seconds left... the world is gone.

What happens when a lyrical genius unites with a brillant guitarist? This album is just that. It will take more than a few listens to truly appreciate Coheed, but once you get it theres no going back!! Start with The Running Free, then Gravemakers and Gunslingers and No World for Tomorrow. Those are pretty easy to get into, the rest will creep in slowly. If you like A.F.I, Breaking Benjamin, or Shinedown you'll love this album
