Stop! You read it here. I just had to say it again. This was recorded prior to her MCA Pop-ish years. It made a little noise on R&B radio and Epic record execs were like WTF? Hence, she had just left that label after a few disco hits. Her sales for them were just OK.This project was a one opt LP for Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia Records label. Miss LaBelle was shopping for a home. ("Tell the truh, shame the devil.") MCA finally got her and the rest is history.
