Swingin, real tenor saxophone

Jerry Weldon is one of the most overlooked players on the scene today, I have played with Jerry in Lionel Hampton's band, and followed his playing with his long tenure with the Harry Connick Band, and I am always knocked out by his playing. This recording is Jerry at his best, swinging, confident, and a firm control of the changes. If you're looking for some toe tappin', Stanley Turrentine, Sonny Stitt and Dexter Gordon influenced tenor saxophone playing, look no further. This is some real, swingin' jazz.
