Lay down is a great song. The reviewer who wants it removed from iTunes is brain dead. Melanie is a classic talent.

When I was a child, my mother played "Brand New Key" for me & I was hooked. I have a 10yr old daughter, who also is a Melanie fan. She will always be a superstar in my eyes & hopefully passed down and down down my family.

I was a hippy in the 60s and 70s and loved Melanie. What changed my mind about her? SCIENTOLOGY ! Google it. You'll be surprised how involved Melanie Safka has become with Scientology. Every time I listen to her now, I feel deamons coming after me. :-( My smily face is now upside down.

This is definitely not rock. Buy it is still a great album non the less. She is a great singer songwriter of the 1960's and 1970's. It is sad to hear people rip the music when they try to compare it to Rock music... Hendrix etc was rocky sic but don't punish her music and not let people get a chance to know her music because iTunes mislabeled her genre of music. The is folk music of the 1960's and 1970's. If you don't like it don't listen...
