I heard this while drinking a Chai tea Frap at Starbucks with my sissy during a month long trip to Virginia Beach/Moyock area as a celebration of being one year in remission...Instantly me and my sissy was hooked on this one particular song from the group. I had to ask the Starbucks barista what song was playing...needless to say we both have downloaded the song as well as the album featurette...2 thumbs way up!
  • Finest Trip-Hop album that I have come across

Simply put, this is the most consistent and enjoyable album in the Trip-Hop/Chill genre that I have ever come across, and I am a radio DJ with my own show called The Chill Zone. Every song is outstanding. The closest comparison that I can come up with is Bitter:Sweet's album - The Mating Game and Esthero's album - Breath From Another, both also very excellent and very similar.

I think this Album is well recorded and im also addicted to female vocals this album is good for driving or while doing art projects. I am a fashion designer it keeps me focused on what I am doing also think it would be great on the runway!

I have had this cd for about 5 or 6 years now and it will always be one of my favorites. I never seem to get tired of the songs as I do with a lot of other cds...and this is one of those cds that you can let play from song 1 to the end without skipping songs. Also, I have DOS and I think this one is better if you are more into mellow music with cool sounds and sultry lyrics. DOS is a little more on the clubbish side. But if you are unsure of whether or not to buy....just buy it.

I have had this for a few years and still listen to it as one of my favorites, I just wish these bands like portishead would keep making music!

I pick this CD up in high school 7 years ago and was blown away (Yes they have been around for that long maybe even longer). No two songs sound the same and the lead singer’s voice is amazing. They might just make it big but until then, enjoy this underground gem of incredible music.

Seven years ago, I discovered SBOL when they were playing in the Urban Outfitters clothing store in NYC. When I asked the manager what was that fine music eminating from the from the Hemp speakers, he replied, "that is Strangelove Addiction from S.B.O.L." I purchased the CD and listened to it on and off for several years. Loved it everytime I listened to it. Then, mysteriously it disappeared and for some time, it drifted away like some distant memory. I even forgot the band's name...I know, shame on me... Well, it's mid-2007, and my wife is pregnant, and lo and behold: I am shopping at Destination Maternity and what do you know, "Strangelove Addiction" is playing in the store. The manager gave me the info and I came right home and downloaded the CD. Funny, how life works that way... Thanks SBOL!!!
