Music is forever!

WARNING+ do not buy this album unless you intend to hear all these songs in your head forever. Also, I do agree with the fact that some of the duets are missing but the ones remaining are still amazing (with "Silly Habits" one of my ATF's) but at $9.99 this is a amazing bargain. This album is one of my top 10 favorite albums and I am really happy that it is available on iTunes for the rest of the world to enjoy. Someone once said that the definition of true art is the ability to take you to another place. Get your passports ready. There will truly never be another Mel. By the way this is his best album as others have said...enjoy!!!
Needle-drop

Yes, the music and vocals are great -- but this is a "needle-drop" release: it is not remastered with CD technology, as you can hear the pops and clicks of the vinyl. Mel Tormé's catalog deserves better.
Finally It Is Here!

Like one of the other reviewers, I started listening to Torme after my mom purchased this album when I was on high school. I LOVED Torme's voice and have been looking for this version on ITunes for over 3 years. This is MUST for anyone who loves "Standards" or just Mel Torme' himself.
INCOMPLETE

BEWARE! This is not the complete version of the recording (for those of you who have the vinyl edition). Missing tracks include the Gerry Mulligan Medley and Noel Coward's "Chase Me Charlie". While Mel Torme is in fine form and the duets with special guests are amazing, the record company is stiffing us.
Torme at his peak

I literally gasped with excitement to see this had been put on itunes, FINALLY! I got this album when I was 14 and it was what made me an obssessive fan of Mel Torme' ever since. No recording of his matches this. His technique & expressiveness, the arrangements, the song choices, and the thrill of his live performance will make your jaw hit the floor.

I've been a Mel Torme's fan for years and this is - BY FAR - my favorite recording of his. Great versions of "Pick Yourself Up," "New York State of Mind," and "Fly Me to the Moon" along with some hidden treasures ("Silly Habits," "Take a Letter Miss Jones," & "Mountain Greenery"). I've been looking for this for years in a more current music media format (tape, CD, etc.) and here it is. Enjoy - a steal at 9.99!
