I kinda understand why, this came out around the same time period Bis was beefing with Eminem. Eminem killed him, and all Bis did was reply with that pitiful C Hollywood stories joke. But Canibus definitely came back HARD with this one, the beats, the rhymes, the features, every aspect of this album is dope. This was the birth of Rip the Jacker, it's no 2000 B.C, but it is definitely one Bis' greatest albums to say the least.

a formidable mc with linguistical talent...

and while canbus once again exhibited his lyrical know how in this album his monotonous hardcore rhyme technique at times can become a continual array of boring mushmouth rap. while he is a talented mc with linguistical prowess easily in the top 10 amoungst mcs of his era his knack for being one sided kind of hinders his expansion to audiences who prefer more then just spit fire rhymes in terms of a legitamate album. but as for those who prime on an mc who can deliver line after line of hardcore heat, canibus is the ideal mc for your liking.
