This album and its companion album, BLUE WATER ASCENT, consist mostly of guitar solos that I recorded as birthday gifts for friends, 2002 > 2007. Most all of them involve digital delay looping and feedback delay, as originally pioneered by Terry Riley. Also a technique that seems to be unique to me: tuned, square-wave modulated delay. I did all these pieces for pleasure, with no idea that the general public would hear them. I believe that I was one of the very first artists to use digital delay looping and digital feeback with electric guitar, begining back in 1976. Old albums of mine like RE-MARRYING FOR MONEY and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE are some of my favorite work in this genre from the early 80's. So many other folks did guitar looping in the past 20 years and I got kind afed up with it and did not release any recordings in this genre for the past 20 years. The pieces here, returning to the genre (as the title indicates) I did strictly for fun. If you like psychedelic guitar looping that tries to be different, here's a bunch of it. - Henry Kaiser July 2007
