Nice, but too bad this album didn't include "No Love" with Bungle and Ney Faustini. I think that got released on Jerona Uven, but it's okay, the last half of this album is hard as ufck.

Bungle delivers something for every junglist in his first full-length album. Having heard his work before, especially his collaborations with fellow Brazillian DJ Marky, I had him pegged for a lighter, more accessible sort of dnb artist in the Sambass/Liquid Funk style. To be sure, he delivers some excellent tracks in that vein, including the party-ready "Just a Little Bit Closer", the laid-back and soulful "If I Leave", and of course his new collab with Marky, 13th Floor. With tracks like "You" and "Back to Mars", he branches out into a more bass-driven epic style of liquid, very reminiscent of Matrix & Futurebound's recent "Universal Truth" album. The real surprises, though, come in the form of some truly heavy stormers like "Down to Earth", "Resized", and the absolutely SICK Total Science and Ayah collaboration "Snake Eyes". These tracks really prove his versatility with tight, syncopated drums and intricate, deep & funky bass grooves. Whether you prefer the mellow and melodic sounds of liquid funk or traditional hard & heavy dnb, there's something to like here, and Bungle moves through different styles so effortlessly that you may find your musical horizons broadening as you listen.

Bungle's inception on the D&B scene was a subtle one. With some remixes and joint collaborations with Marky, he began to make a name for himself. But nevertheless he saved the best for him! Down to Earth is a impressionable and danceable album with stunning and memorable beats. With songs which includes vocals from Ayah, Darrison and Laura Pacheco, he will made you sing, bump and grind to his beats. Both the newcomers and veterans of the D&B scene will be pleased with Bungle's preformance. His statement is made: He came to stay! One of 2007 best D&B works.
